TENUTA LA FAVOLA develops around a single block built in the early '800, divided into the working area with a palmento, place to crush the grapes to obtain the must, andwith an oil press used only by the farm, and into the residential area. with the swimming pool, loggia and courtyard. 300 meters from the vineyards, is the Lupica vineyard which hosts another small grouping of stone houses:  the HOUSE OF ARTISTS.

The “caseggiato” or grouping of houses on the farm has undergone many transformations in its 200 year history. The original structure included the areas for working the grapes and the family house that functioned as the rural schoolhouse. An entire wing was added to the central structure that includes stalls with troughs, a chicken coop and housing for the workers, all situated on the highest point of the hill. This area, today totally restored, offers ample space in the shade of century old trees and a relaxing area with a 360° panorama for the enjoyment of the guests..

The following amenities are available to guests at Tenuta la Favola:

• The “kitchen in the vineyard” , a large space that can hold 28 people and conceived as a common area for preparing food, wine tasting and sharing relaxing moments
• The pool in the vineyards. On top of the hill, our pool overlooks the vineyards and offers the spectacular view of the green fields that fade into the sea at the horizon
• The courtyard. Partially paved in river rocks and partially lawn, the courtyard is shaded by a century old fig tree that makes it an enjoyable place to relax
• The playing field. A big lawn surrounded by a dry wall that separates it from the vineyard. In the family tradition it is the area for residents of the farm to play games (volleyball, archery, and soccer)
• The old washing basin in stone. Located in the middle of the olive grove and shaded by a century old walnut and laurel tree, the washing basin with its natural well and fresh water is the destination for picnics and nighttime walks under the full moon that reflects silver on the calcareous ground.
• The small winery museum. Set up in the “palmento” (place where the grapes are crushed) from the beginning of the 1800’s, the museum is a collection of tools from the farming tradition that take you through the evolution of winemaking techniques from the 1700’s to the present. The museum is an educational place but also a place for tastings and meetings.
