This beautiful story is told directly by Valeria Guerrieri, with her husband Corrado the owner of Tenuta La Favola. "On the occasion of an order of caps we became aware of a Sicilian cork factory, the Vitalcork. Sicilian and zero kilometers ... not bad, we said! And from there, as if by chance, a small world opened. Chatting with other tenants we discovered that here in the Southeast there is a proliferation of small businesses. There is for example GI.SA. Print, a young print shop in Catania. When we become aware of the company in 2014, we were just preparing two new wines and at the same time we were planning the redesign of the old labels while launching our new brand Tenuta La Favola. We wanted the new labels easily readable by everybody, of course, but also by the visually impared people and therefore we use Braille. We wondered if this Sicilian typography was able to print a label so demanding. So we took a first contact and we learned that the company is run by two guys young entrepreneurs: they accquired a company in difficulty, renovated it with modern and advanced equipment and reappeared in the market as a leading company.

Later, maybe by chance or by the strange games of fortune, one day we found in our hands a bottle. It seemed an ordinary Bordeaux standards yet something different. It had a slightly longer neck and a written label on the shoulder: 100% Sicilian. A bottle of entirely recycled glass! Now we and our products are 100% Sicilian and proudly ethical, farm to table! "

NUMBERS OF TENUTA LA FAVOLA: we are proud to summarize them without fear of falling into a banal self celebration, as we think that thi sis an oppurtunity to the reader to discover a little world of absolute happiness:

• Processing area: the block from the early 800s consists of a millstone (where treading grapes to obtain the must) now furnished as a small museum and an oil mill exclusively for business use
• Residential area:  built around the pool, the lodge and the court.
• Around 300 mt from the Estate, the experimental vineyard hosts another small stone block: The HOUSE OF ARTISTS, a dream where you can live your holiday
• Total area of ​​15 has, 7 of which are vineyards and 5 are olive groves
• Grapes are native varieties Nero d'Avola, Frappato and Moscato. International varietal is Syrah that only thanks to the nature of the soil, acquires absolutely typical and recognizable feature of the terroir.
• Olives are of Moorish varieties, Verdese and in small part Carolea.
