When you visit the Estate just sit under the ficus. In front of you you admire the vineyards and the sea, while your skin is caressed by the fresh breeze from the hills. Thrushes and doves land on the edge of the pool to drink a sip of water while the dog doze near your feet. Like them you are there, full of everything.

Magic experience typical of Tenuta la Favola: a glass of wine, a few nuts or a some fruit just collected from the tree, your book. What else? Large are the areas for relaxation without the risk of being disturbed.

2. The refurbishment of the old rural house and the vintage country style

The building (100 square meters) is located on the top of the hill. It is the typical rural block of the Sicilian countryside made of earth mixed with pebbles that are supported by branches or roots. The roofs is covered only by strictly Sicilian tiles (handcrafted terra cotta tiles ) and with terra cotta gutters. The building has been completely restored recovering the old materials many of which had been covered by earth and weeds, such as the stones of the cottage of the artists or the river pebbles of the court. The cultivated area has also retained the imprint and the rural style of a time when crops were interspersed with fruit trees and stone walls. In the olive fields perfectly productive centenary olive trees live patiently and skillfully taken care of over the years. As in the typical style of the local farms, animals live in the estate (geese, ducks, chickens, turkeys, donkeys ...). They are a good company and with a natural aid to cleaning and fertilization of fields.

3. Places for the wellness of body and mind

The warmth of the blanket embroidered by grandmothers, the embrace of earth walls and stones where everything is still in an ancient harmony that invites the slowness, abandonment, life. Wood floor and wood at the ceiling painted green like vines, or like the leaves of the ficus that gives you centenarian shadow while the sun put the earth on fire.

A manger restored with natural pigments where a coffee break, a beer or a dinner make those moments the best of your holiday.

The swimming pool: a cool patch of blue in a warm carpet of green and vineyards; lights, shadows and ancient paving stones for a private courtyard where one can see the works of the artists of our art projects called Bridge Art: a top, two blocks and a wooden fossil that becomes a cleat, transform an old axle into a bracket.
